7 Everyday Rapid Weight Loss Tips

The culture of instant gratification that surrounds most dieters often leads to fad dieting, fasting and other ways to experience rapid weight loss. Losing weight fast isn’t a problem if you do it the right way, but so many of us look to the fastest and often unhealthiest path to weight loss which can lead to starvation, overeating and yo-yo dieting.

There are however rapid weight loss tips that can help you maximize your weight loss from day to day. These tips require more focus on your weight loss plan, but they will provide you with rapid and effective weight loss.

Drink Lots of Water

When you drink more water you will decrease your risk of water retention which can make you look and feel bloated. This is one of the most important rapid weight loss tips because water plays such an important role in weight loss. When your body is dehydrated your metabolism and therefore your fat burning slows down considerably.

Another reason drink more water is one of the most important rapid weight loss tips is because we often confuse thirst with hunger and eat more food when we should just drink a glass of water. Give your weight loss a kick in the pants by adding a glass of water at every meal and drink water when you feel thirsty rather than soda, juice, milkshakes or other sugary drinks.

Replace Snacks with Produce

Don’t feel about snacking throughout the day; feel bad about what foods you choose to snack on each day. Instead of reaching for salty chips, doughnuts, cookies or other junk food make your between meal snacks with fruits and vegetables.

Pack a serving of baby carrots, blueberries, an apple, celery sticks or any other type of fruits and vegetables. Fruits and vegetables have a high water and fiber content so you feel full with less food. Utilize this rapid weight loss tip to help you get your recommended daily allowance of fruits and vegetables.

Dine At The Table

Losing weight like an adult means eating your meals like an adult; at the dining table. When you sit down at the table and focus on your meals you’re more likely to hear your body when it tells you its satisfied so you can stop eating.

When you watch TV or work while you eat a meal, you’re distracted and studies indicate that you’re more likely to consume more fat and calories when you eat while performing other tasks. By focusing on your meals you can end up consuming far less food than if you were distracted by primetime television programming. Don’t Skip Meals

As tempted as you may be to eliminate a few meals here and there to expedite your weight loss efforts, avoid that temptation. Skipping meals will not give you the desired results because you’ll just end up overcompensating for that food that you didn’t eat earlier in the day.

This is one of the rapid weight loss tips that goes against what many people consider conventional dieting wisdom. When you skip a meal chances are good that you’ll end up making unhealthy snack choices, probably late at night, and undoing all the hard work you thought you were doing by skipping a meal.

It doesn’t matter if your day is really busy, if you’re not hungry or whatever other excuses you use to convince yourself that it is alright to skip a meal, you need a well balanced diet with at least 3 meals each day.

Remove Or Limit Junk Food

Most diets say you don’t have to get rid of anything you love in order to lose weight, and while that might be true for some for most us of these treats are simply a temptation that we are unable to resist. Chances are that if we were able to resist them, we’d all have the bodies we dream of already.

If you want to lose weight fast then this is one of those rapid weight loss tips that you’ll have to reluctantly commit to, at least for awhile. During the early stages of any weight loss plan you’ll need to be more diligent about what you can and cannot eat until your body gets accustomed to the new way of eating.

On those (rare) occasions that you do decide to indulge in a sweet treat, go to your favorite ice cream or cup cake store and enjoy 1 serving, rather than buying a gallon of ice cream in your freezer.

Drink Green Tea

There are many scientific studies that have shown the weight loss benefits of green tea, so many that there are plenty of diet pills on the market that contain green tea extract. Drinking 3 cups of green tea each day can help boost your fat burning through increased metabolism, but it can also act as an appetite suppressant to help you eat less food each day.

Eat Breakfast

Perhaps the smartest and easiest of the rapid weight loss tips to implement is to make an effort to eat breakfast every morning. I say make an effort because so many of us take that extra 10 minutes of sleep rather than wake up and make a healthy breakfast, but the truth is that a healthy breakfast can go a long way to help you eat fewer calories and less frequently between meals.

A healthy breakfast like oatmeal, cereal and fruit can give you enough fiber to keep you satisfied until lunch time. Add a little lean protein like egg whites to your breakfast and you’ll feel fuller longer so that you can reduce the amount of food you each day. Breakfast isn’t just about depriving you of sleep, its helping you reach your weight loss goals.
