6 Amazing Ways To Lose Weight

We are now way into the month of January, and we may have tried a lot of ways to help get rid of the unwanted pounds that we have gained during the holidays. Although it may take some time to gradually shed off a few pounds, there are a lot of little tricks that you can do in order to achieve your goals.

EASY WAYS TO LOSE WEIGHT

1. Drink Up on H20

Letting go of sugary juices and carbonated drinks can significantly decrease your calorie intake. Water is your best friend because it has no calories. You may drink up on fresh orange juice in the morning, but stick to water during the rest of the day.

2. Feel The Blues

The color blue functions as an appetite suppressant. If you are wondering why most of the restaurants use eye catching colors such as yellow, red and orange, it's because these colors make you hunger for more. Try to serve up dinner on blue plates or replace your tablecloth with a blue colored one. You can even dress in blue.

3. Downsize Your Dinner Plates

Instead of using the conventional ten to thirteen inch plates, use ones that are only about seven to nine inches wide. Chances are, you'll be eating less but you'll feel full because your eyes are tricking you into it. It also goes with glasses and coffee mugs. Instead of 16 ounce glasses, opt for 8 ounce ones.

4. Stock Up On Cereals

Eating healthy cereals for at least 5 times a day will help reduce the risk of obesity and diabetes. It also contains fiber and calcium, which will help keep your bones strong and also develop good digestion. Avoid eating sweet cereals such as Cap n' Crunch and ones that have high amounts of sugar in them. Instead, look for ones that are multigrain or ones that have dried fruits.

5. Take Your Time

Our parents would always tell us that we have to chew our food instead of wolfing it down. Take your time and savor the food in front of you. Also, take a sip of water in between bites. If you are eating with someone, try to engage in animated conversations because your brain will eventually tell you that you are already full.

6. Start Getting Active

If you feel that you are too lazy to hit the gym, you can keep yourself busy by doing the chores at home. Instead of sitting on the couch all day, why don't you do some good old scrubbing? Also, if you are at work, try to go up the stairs instead of the elevator. Try to walk around your office or even at home. If you have an active lifestyle, you will surely get rid of those unnecessary pounds.

It doesn't need rocket science for you to be able to lose weight successfully. All it takes is just sheer determination and patience. If you have the drive and the patience, you will be able to slowly but surely reach your desired goals!
