Losing Weight and Losing Fat: The Big Difference

People have had a preconceived notion that when you diet, fat is the same as weight and that you can all rid them in one go. But contrary to popular belief, there is a huge difference between losing weight and losing fat.

To be able to achieve maximum weight loss, one must lose the body fat and not the muscular mass. Find out what your type of metabolism is -whether you are a Carb type, Protein type, Mixed type- and you can find out how you can lose the fat and not gain weight.

In a recent study made, two groups of people of different metabolism rates were given meal plans consisting of the same amount of calories but with varying variations of proteins, carbohydrates and fats. And as it turns out the Carb type individuals with a meal plan of 1,500 calorie diet composed of mostly fat and protein, ended not losing any fat and actually gaining more weight from the baseline.

To be able to effectively lose weight from your body's fat, it is important that you must find the right meal plan for you. This includes finding the meal plan that is right for your type of metabolism. You must focus on not merely the calories that you are taking in but in the quality of food as well, such as the source of the calories (values of carbohydrates, proteins and fats). Consuming foods having a significant effect on the metabolic process can be your key to losing weight from fat. The body's natural function is to produce enzymes and hormones that make they systems run smoother and for the basic process to occur, when this is disrupted the body becomes cautious and alerted the systems run slower therefore throwing off the rate of metabolism, stopping the energy from being burned.When we eat right, our bodies' hormones are in balance and when the body is able to achieve its peak metabolic rate, it will start to let go of the excess fat stores.

With knowing this key element, it is always a must to remember that when we are trying to lose fat from weight, it is crucially important to remember three basic things: learn what type of metabolism you have, be keen in the food you take not by the calories but by the quality of carbohydrates, proteins and fats and lastly, be active. It always imperative that in order to lose weight from fat quickly as it is like burning fuel, one must get the engine running.
