Thanks for this video! I have a quick question for you. So I am a 19 year old female who is hoping to lose some fat, get slimmer, and lose about 20 pounds. I have a 8lb pair and 5lb pair. With the 8lb, I can still manage it, but I do feel the burn after a set or two. Since I want to get slimmer, the last thing I want is to build muscles on top of my fat and get even bigger. So I don’t know if I should push for my limit and keep using the 8lb, or just use the more moderate 5lb? Thanks!

CareyforFitness says:

@EricasMaximas Yes. You need to mix up workout routines but in a systematic fashion by phases. Consistency is the key is any success. It doesn’t mean you do the same thing over and over.

EricasMaximas says:

@CareyforFitness You’re absolutely right, I got bored of my current routine and now I’m going mix it up.

CareyforFitness says:

@p14y2w1n I would rather have you alternate workout A and workout B. You can cetainly do it every day. You may get bored. Then you can also change up the sequence of the exercises, using different weights, do at different number of repetitions.

p14y2w1n says:

You can do these everyday yes?

@SkmgirlDeni Thank you. Keep it up. You can be better than me.

@Barry619 Hi Barry, I’m so happy that my fat-loss circuit training workout helps you lose 11 pounds in a month and still keep dropping. More importantly, you have adopted a healthier lifestyle by incorporating sensible eating habit, strength training and additional physcial activity such as walking. Keep it up.

@CareyforFitness Another huge thanks from me for posting your videos Carey.

All i’ve done is this circuit daily (3 – 4 sets) with some walking, strength lifting and more sensible eating, and in a month and half i’ve lost 11lbs and still dropping.

Couldn’t have done it without your help Carey! :)

hi this very nice

CareyforFitness says:

@xM82A1 You have to start somewhere even with a pair of 2kg dumbbells. You can do the circuit training with higher repetitions, at faster pace, and/or shorter rest interval between circuits (sets). You can buy used weight cheap from garage sale or online. You can also try home-made weights. There is a will, there is a way.

19th June 2011 at 8:38 pm

xM82A1 says:

oh yeah, and will this also work for getting bigger arms (biceps and/or triceps)?

19th June 2011 at 8:52 pm

xM82A1 says:

I just have a pair of 2kg dumbbells, will those even help?

@esanchezu I’m glad that I can inspire you. Keep it up. You should still weight yourself and do body composition measurement. Then you can adjust your training program, workout routine and diet accordingly.

@CareyforFitness

19th June 2011 at 12:49 am

CareyforFitness says:

@esanchezu OK. For example, Do A workout on Monday, B workout on Tuesday. Rest on Wedneday. Repeat A again on Thursday and B on Friday. Rest Saturday and Sunday.

Other options:
1. You can do B, A, Rest, B, A, Rest, Rest on a 7-day calendar.
2. Change the number of repetitions.
3. Change the weight used.
4. Change the sequence/order of exercises in each routine.

19th June 2011 at 1:25 am

esanchezu says:

i’m confused.. do i have to make both workouts in one day or i should alternate A nd B in different days?

19th June 2011 at 2:10 am

CareyforFitness says:

@TheDavid1690 Alternate Workouts A and B, rest a day, the repeat. You can switch the workout order. Use these 2 workouts for 4 weeks or as complimentary circuit training workout to your training program.
