A common questioned asked is, "." One way to determine this is by using your BMI (Body Mass Index) value for a "Normal" body type and extracting out the weight range for a given height.

The Body Mass Index is a value for human body fat based on an individual's weight and height. According to the WHO (World Health Organization), the BMI value for a "Normal Body Fat Range" falls between 18.5 – 25.0.

The formula for calculating your BMI value is:

Pounds and inches Formula:
weight (lb) / [height (in)]2 x 703

Kilograms and meters (or centimeters) Formula:
weight (kg) / [height (m)]2

We can use this formula to derive your suggested weight range (low – high) given your height for a Normal Body Fat BMI range.

Pounds and inches Formula:
weight (lb) low = 18.5 * [height (in)]2 x 703
weight (lb) high = 25.0 * [height (in)]2 x 703

Kilograms and meters (or centimeters) Formula:
weight (kg) low = 18.5 [height (m)]2
weight (kg) high = 25.0 [height (m)]2

An easier way when asking yourself, "," would be to use our Height Weight Chart at the below link.
