You have found the right place when you're trying to learn more regarding the 3 Day Fruit Flush diet. The dietary plan is building hype around the market for a couple of good reasons; it's effective and simple, yet non-depraving and safe. Forget all those diets that would push you to steer clear of food for weeks to months. With the 3 Day Fruit Flush diet, you can take in food every 2 hours not to mention the fact that it takes only 3 days! Getting more interested? Keep reading.
An Overview
Is there any form of diet plan that would allow you to take in food for every two hours? Amazing so it seems, there is this type of diet that is available and its gaining enthusiasts from across the country. Also known as the Fruit diet, the 3 Day Fruit Flush diet is a promising new strategy for losing weight. If done properly, it is possible to lose up to 9-11 lbs. after the 3 day period.
Experts say, the whole diet plan focuses on the very foundation of the mechanisms inside the body. The body absorbs necessary nutrients which help in removing toxic substances within your circulation each time you take in fruits. The flushing out of these unhealthy toxins is reinforced by water and fibre from the fruit. The toxins flushed are typically the end result of years of unhealthy living- alcohol, smoking, junk foods, use of artificial ingredients and processed Foods.
Yet another thing to keep in mind in regards to the 3 Day Fruit Flush is that unlike other diet plans is that it embraces lean meat into your food plan. In such a manner, your body doesn't use the muscles but alternatively, the fat reserves. As reported by Robb, 36 hours of fruits, vegetables, and lean protein will condition your body to get in a "fat-burning mode" which burns all the unneeded fat while preserving muscle mass.
As reported by a number of studies, a huge percentage of the weight you drop in the 3 Day Fruit Flush could be associated with water loss. Although proven as true by experts, this diet program still maintains its popularity as a persuader for some long term diet system or program.
The Diet Proper
The first day starts off with eating protein and drinking water alternately every 2 hours. A minimum of 6 ounces of lean meat is the suggested serving (protein shakes will work just make sure they don't contain artificial colours and/or sweeteners). Consume at least 10 ounces of water after taking in lean meat. You can perform this for the rest of the day starting from 8 am to 4 pm. You can eat small amounts of egg whites or lean protein for your evening meal. You can include raw vegetable salad and olive oil if you prefer.
For the two following days, the regimen is practically the same but you should replace the protein shakes with fruit. Try to be sure to eat one serving (which roughly equals around 100 calories). Like before, this has to be accompanied with 8-12 ounces of water. For evening meal on both the 2nd and 3rd day, you can have exactly the same thing you had on the beginning but substitute the lean protein or egg whites with protein shakes.
The Real Deal
Although generally approved and proven effective, a few health specialists worry about individuals misunderstanding the 3 Day Fruit Flush diet. Health Specialists fear that these types of diet programs give an idea of fat gain punishment which gives a bad picture of fruits and vegetables. Kind of like when we were Kind of like when we little kids. The ultimate approach to deal with the diet plan should be to appropriately condition not just your body but also your mind. If not done correctly, it might lead to a psychological backlash. The great news is, as this diet gives ample protein sources and a small amount of good cholesterol, it is considerably reliable compared to some other detoxifying methods out there.
All things considered, it's still vital that people check with an expert prior to starting with the 3 Day Fruit Flush diet. Make sure you are not suffering from any condition which could become worse in case you take on the diet program. For safety purpose, keep a multivitamin in hand for the 3 days of dieting. Additionally, make sure you consume at least 50 grams of protein every day.

Do Fruit Detox Diets Really Work?

ByLee J Scutchings

The latest craze in the dieting world and in the world of alternative medicine in general, seems to be fruit detox diets.

These diets are a popular option because of the appeal of the tasty treat of fresh fruit as opposed to other plans that restrict you to liquids like juice fasts or odd combinations like cayenne pepper infused water.

The "detox" promised in these diets is a draw for some people who are concerned about the build up of harmful "toxins" in the body, like pesticides, heavy metals, and artificial additives in over-processed food.

So can a fruit detox diet really help?

The biggest draw for people who are attracted to detox diets using fruit is the promise of dramatic and quick weight loss. Most of these diets are advertised to help you lose weight quickly, sometimes up to 20 pounds in a matter of days! But is this true? And even if it is, is it actually safe?

If it were really possible to safely lose 20 pounds of fat simply by controlling our eating habits over a course of days or a few short weeks, I'm sure most of us would happily sign up for that! But it sounds too good to be true -- and it is.

Most, if not all, of the weight that you will lose on a detox is water weight rather than fat. Your body cannot break down fat faster than about 3lbs per week without flooding your system with toxins and slowing your metabolism.

When you go on a juice fast or drastic detox diet, your body believes you are starving to death. At that point your body stops breaking down fat and will begin breaking down muscle.

The bottom line is that it's almost impossible to lose more than 3lbs of fat per week, with the recommended amount of loss being 1-2lbs. The slower that your body loses weight, the less likely it is that your body will feel like it's starving and your metabolism won't slow down.

Not only will "detox diets" fail to allow you the weight loss you desire, they may also not "detox" your body at all. There is no scientific basis to the idea of any detox diet, let alone a juice fast or more specific fruit detox.

In fact, as hinted at above, extreme versions of these diets can actually add toxins to your body rather than get rid of them.

Your body has plenty of filters and waste removal systems for getting rid of toxins. But stressing your body out through starvation can lead these filters to break down and stop working. Don't forget that extreme fasting can be fatal!

Fruit detox diets vary. Some allow unlimited fruits of all kinds while others limit the quantity and type of fruits that you are allowed. Despite claims to the contrary, there are no fruits with the special ability to speed up or super charge your metabolism -- this is the entire untrue basis of the famous Grapefruit Diet.

Fruits are good for you, but ideally they'd be just part of a balanced diet.

An almost universal theme of fruit detox diets (and other detox diets as well) is increasing the amount of water you drink in the day to an extreme level.

Oftentimes there are special additives to the water, like expensive maple syrup, lemon juice, cayenne pepper, and any number of spices and herbs.

Benefits to these additives are questionable, but the water is definitely crucial to your health and weight loss efforts.

The best solution for weight loss isn't a "get-slim-quick" 10-day scheme.

Reducing the amount of food you eat, replacing foods with fruits and vegetables, and increasing water intake are all solid strategies. However the very best solution is to aim to get a balanced diet because only with a balanced diet will your body perform at its peak for maximum fat burning.

Fruit And Vegetable Juice Recipes

" src="/images/fruit-and-vegetable-juice-recipes.jpg" /> by: William B., staff writerPrint Article Print Print Article BookmarkTwitter RSS

A great way to pack in your daily dose of veggies is to add some fruit to the mix which can typically mask most vegetables that have a stronger taste.  I like to have about 75% of my juice recipes be vegetables to keep my sugar levels down and also to pack in the nutrients I often miss in my diet from leafy greens and darker veggies.

When it comes to fruits. I typically include in my recipes a fairly short list. I like using apples to add sweetness and you can get quite a bit of juice from them compared to other fruits like blueberries, raspberries, etc.  Apples are also fairly inexpensive which is helpful in keeping your juicing habit from breaking your bank. I also like to use watermelon, pears, oranges, and lemons which also happen to be high yield juicing fruits.

When it come to vegetables I don't care quite as much about the juice yield, I'm more focused on the nutrients I'm trying to get from vegetables. However, there are quite a few nutrient dense high yield veggie options. Cucumbers are a great high yield veggie that I add to most recipes.  I will sometimes peel the cucumbers ahead of time to avoid the skin mucking up my juicer too much. You don't get much juice from the skins anyway. Carrots and beets are also great high yield vegetables that add a masking sweetness to most . Tomatoes are a good option as well, but perhaps I should have included that in my fruit category... the debate lives on!

Some of the harder to juice, but nutrient dense options I like to use are spinach, kale, parsley, and basically any other vegetable I might have in my fridge that I was not quite looking forward to eating on its own.

Here are a few to get you started:

Carrot Spinach Lemon Juice Recipe

3 medium carrots
1-2 cups of spinach
¼ lemon

Carrot Cucumber Apple Juice Recipe

3 medium carrots
1 medium cucumber
½ apple

Apple Cucumber Spinach Juice Recipe

1 medium apple
1 medium cucumber
1-2 cups of spinach

Apple Cucumber Surprise Juice Recipe

1 medium Apple
1 medium cucumber
1-2 cups of whatever veggies in your fridge

You pretty much can't go wrong with most recipes if you have as your base apple, cucumber and carrot for the majority of your recipe to mask whatever other veggies you might not enjoy to juice on their own.  Good luck and have fun!
